Poetry Readings (SL)

7 07 2011

Download the PDF document here.

If possible, print the document so that you can practice annotation and scribbling your comments while we’re discussing the poems in the class.

For tomorrow’s discussion, prepare all poems in Parts One and half of the poems in Part Two (see the document).

Please start reading the poems. And I highly encourage that you research about them as well.

You will also be assigned to prepare a short background information on some poets. During our class discussions, you are expected to share with the class a brief background of the author’s life and his/her poetry style. You don’t need to prepare a powerpoint presentation for this; just make sure you have notes and that you will be able to share more about the poem of the authors you’re assigned to research on.
